There were earlier speculations that the state might consider reopening religious houses.
However, in a statement made public through Governor Sanwo-Olu's official handle on twitter, on the evening of June 16, the initial consideration would now be halted.
Sanwo-Olu said the decision was informed by an increase in index cases in Lagos.
Due to the continuous increase of #COVID19 cases in our state, we have rescinded till further notice our earlier decision to open churches and mosques for worship.
