The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has urged the entire structure of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State to keep supporting President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno as he builds a united and prosperous Nigeria.
He recently revealed that Governor Umo Eno can best be described as a man of peace.
Speaking while addressing a stakeholders’ meeting of the APC in Uyo, the state capital, Akpabio shared that his vision for a politically united Akwa Ibom was fulfilled as soon as Eno took the bold step to join the progressive party.
According to him, he has nothing but praise for the Governor’s inclusive leadership style and quick alignment with the vision of his new party.
Akpabio stated that he also decided to join the APC in 2018 to link Akwa Ibom state to the national power grid.
“Akwa Ibom is one. This governor is a unifier and we should shun divisive tendencies and support him to bring development to our dear state.
When I moved to the APC in 2018, my intention was to link our state to the national power grid and I’m happy that the vision has become a reality with the leadership of Eno in the state,” he said.
He further noted that the evident unity in Akwa Ibom will make the entire state massively support Tinubu in 2027.
Insisting that BAT would keep establishing reforms that would establish a stable economic prosperity and growth for the nation, Akpabio disclosed that the people only need to be patient.
Governor Eno concluded by saying that his defection to the APC would help advance the course of development in Akwa Ibom.
