Hilda Dokubo Knocks Women Who Get BBL To Please Men, Says It’s A Waste Of Time

Veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has warned young women, particularly aspiring actresses, against undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery in a bid to seek male validation, describing the practice as a waste of time.

The actress made the remarks in an interview with Punch, where she cautioned women against altering their bodies simply to attract attention or impress men.

According to her, most men actually prefer a woman’s natural body over a surgically enhanced one, and altering one’s body for a man’s approval defeats its own purpose. She argued that if surveyed, the overwhelming majority of men would choose a natural body over one enhanced through surgery like BBL, questioning why women would go through painful and expensive procedures for people who may not even value the result. She noted that no man has ever undergone body modification because of a woman, and asked why women should be held to a different standard.

Dokubo further explained that a woman’s body naturally changes across different life stages — puberty, pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause — and that women should not feel pressured to alter themselves to fit anyone’s expectations at any of these stages.

She urged women to focus instead on pursuing their dreams and living fulfilled lives, stressing that true contentment should not depend on validation from others. According to her, every woman is far bigger than her physical body, which she described as only a small part of who a person truly is.

The actress also pushed back against the notion that women who undergo body enhancement procedures should be blamed when their marriages fail, insisting that such surgeries should not be linked to marital breakdowns.
