Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi and representing Ogun West, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his emergence as the party’s consensus governorship candidate in Ogun State.
His endorsement was announced by Governor Dapo Abiodun during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Monday, while his formal adoption reportedly followed a strategic caucus session at the APC secretariat on Abiola Way, Abeokuta.
In a message shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, Senator Adeola described the development as a great honour, stating that he does not take the confidence reposed in him for granted.
He specifically thanked President Tinubu for his leadership, as well as Governor Dapo Abiodun and former Governor Segun Osoba, acknowledging their support, guidance, and trust in his political journey.
Adeola also appreciated APC stakeholders and party members across Ogun State for endorsing him as the consensus candidate for the upcoming governorship election.
He pledged full commitment to the party’s ideals and promised to work towards a united and successful campaign, expressing optimism that the APC would secure victory in the 2027 elections.
