Popular content creator and Nollywood actress Kiekie has opened up about how she gained public recognition.
She recently described herself as a late bloomer, confirming that it took a long time for her to become famous.
Speaking during an interview with Tobi Makinde on his new talk show, TTM Show, Kiekie stated that it took her seven years to gain the spotlight.
Confirming that she finally blew up in 2020 despite creating content since 2013, the moviestar shared that she never gave up because she was doing what she was passionate about, and she even went as far as funding her content creation dream with funds from other side hustles.
According to Kiekie, her success story is definitely a unique one because while many others would have given up and focused on doing something else, she kept at it because her passion for the work only grew.
“The story is unique because I sometimes call myself a late bloomer. Because it literally took seven years to gain the spotlight.
I started creating content in 2013 but didn’t gain the spotlight till 2020. It was seven years of me constantly doing what I love, funding what I love with the other jobs I was doing.
Some of those who had known me before I became popular as a content creator will know that I used to be a stylist. I was once Simi’s stylist.
My first viral content was the Fashion Shock Show that started in 2018,” she said.
Kiekie further noted that the zeal she worked with before popularity is the exact same zeal that has led to her consistency with quality content after so many years.
“The moment I hit the spotlight, it just continued like that,” she added.
