Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu has sparked reactions online after saying she prefers married men to single men, describing married men as more mature and easier to understand in relationships.
She made the comments on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where she opened up about her dating choices and her views on love, loyalty, and money.
Nwachukwu said she avoids single men entirely, insisting married men bring more to the table.
“I don’t have sex with single guys. I go for married men. Married men are more mature. They understand you,” she said.
She also claimed some married men hold back in bed with outside partners to avoid detection by their wives, describing this as a form of self-control tied to loyalty concerns at home.
On infidelity, the actress said financial support matters more to her than faithfulness.
“I don’t care if a man cheats on me as long as he gives me money. Money is love,” she said.
She argued that many women in her generation share this mindset, valuing financial security over romantic loyalty.
“In this generation, women love money more than love. I need to elevate myself. I wasn’t born with poverty,” she said.
Nwachukwu added that she would have no issue marrying a polygamous man, so long as she’s comfortable.
“I am available to marry a man that has six wives. I just want to be comfortable. I am coming from a poor background, so I cannot end up in a poor home,” she said.
Her comments have triggered mixed reactions online, with Nigerians debating her stance on marriage, fidelity, and financial priorities in relationships.
