Nollywood star Doyin Kukoyi has shut down swirling rumours linking her romantically to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, better known as Ogogo.
The actress, in an interview on Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube page, revealed that the speculation started after she shared a photo with Ogogo from a movie set where they played husband and wife.
“We acted as a couple whose daughter got married. I posted our picture online, and people twisted it into marriage news. Till today, many still believe Ogogo and I are married. I only took the picture because I love and admire him,” she explained.
The talk of a romance between the duo first sparked in 2022 when Doyin playfully referred to Ogogo as her “better half” and “husband” on social media. The post drew waves of congratulatory messages, while Ogogo’s daughter cheekily replied, “House don full ma, we no want.”
Doyin fired back in jest, saying, “House no fit full. I don carry my baggage come. Do us the honor of picking the wedding date, please.”
The playful banter set tongues wagging, but Doyin has now cleared the air, stressing that she has never been married to Ogogo.
