Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, has been declared the winner of the Adamawa governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Binani was declared the winner by Prof. Hudu Yunus Ari, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Adamawa halfway through the collation process.

Results from 10 out of the 20 local government areas were declared while the exercise was adjourned until 11 a.m.
However, Ari made his pronouncement an hour before the scheduled time.
