The Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria has announced that applications for the 2026 Ireland Fellows Programme will open on June 29, giving Nigerians the chance to pursue fully funded Master’s degrees at leading Irish universities.
The programme, which targets early and mid-career professionals from Nigeria and Ghana, offers a one-year postgraduate scholarship covering tuition fees, monthly stipends, accommodation, travel, visa expenses, and health insurance.
To be eligible, applicants must be citizens and residents of Nigeria or Ghana, hold at least a Second Class Lower Bachelor’s degree, and have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
Nigerian applicants may also apply for the Roger Casement Fellowship in Human Rights, which supports postgraduate studies in Law, Human Rights, and Governance.
Applications open on June 29 and close on July 26, 2026. Interested candidates are required to apply online through the official Ireland Fellows Programme website at irelandfellows.africa.
