Actress turned reality star Iyabo Ojo has criticized The Real Housewives of Lagos producers, accusing them of undermining harmony among the cast members.
The mother of two voiced her concerns in an Instagram post on Friday, following her celebration of one of the show’s cast members, Dr. Rommel Asagwara. Dr. Rommel had recently faced controversy due to a clash with fellow cast member Faith Morey.
Iyabo Ojo defended Dr. Rommel, asserting that the producers edited the footage in a way that disrupted the peaceful essence of the conversation.
“I’ve been trying to keep quiet to let everyone enjoy the show, but now it seems like the production team of The Real Housewives of Lagos season 2 is disturbing the peace. Your cut-and-join editing is incredibly irritating. Why omit everything Doc Rommel said before the heated conversation and only showcase our reactions? You’ve removed 98%, leaving only 2%. This is exasperating,” she expressed in her post.
The Real Housewives of Lagos marks the first Nigerian installment of the renowned franchise, distributed globally by NBS Universal Formats. The show explores the controversial lives of housewives and their intricate relationships.
Co-produced by singer Darey Alade, the cast includes Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Lawani, Chioma Goodhair, Laura Ikeji, Mariam Timmer, Tania Omotayo, and Faith Morey. Notably, actress Caroline Danjuma exited the show after the first season.
