Joy Tambou ,Newly sworn-in Chief Protocol Officer of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has outlined her commitment to fostering unity and improving the welfare of Nigerian actors while enhancing their global standing.
During her recent inauguration in Abuja, Tambou pledged to collaborate with industry stakeholders to support actors nationwide, in line with AGN President Abubakar Yakub Sanusi’s vision for the guild.
“My primary goal is to promote unity within the Actors Guild of Nigeria, strengthen nationwide collaboration among actors, and champion initiatives that advance the welfare, professionalism, and international recognition of Nigerian performers,” Tambou stated.
She emphasized her dedication to ensuring inclusivity within the guild. “I am committed to working with all stakeholders so that every actor feels seen, valued, and empowered to flourish. This administration prioritizes vision over division, service over status, and meaningful impact over empty rhetoric.”
An accomplished actress and producer, Tambou has appeared in numerous films including “Tattered,” “The Other Side,” “Tangled Heart,” “Caught on the Net,” “Bliss of Kamara,” “Unexpected Love,” “Palmwine Tapper,” “Seven Daughters,” and “Expensive Bachelor.”
The swearing-in ceremony also saw other AGN executives take office, including Vice Presidents Temidayo Amusa, Bartholomew Agu Ugo, and Nazareth Bako Jesse.
