Word on the street is that it’s #JP2025 season as the traditional wedding between Nollywood’s Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux, is set to go down today, 17th of April, 2025.
The hashtag is currently occupying a top spot on X after a beautiful video showed Priscilla’s father, Ademidun Ojo, warmly exchanging pleasantries with his son-in-law, ahead of her wedding ceremony.
The union, which has earned a lot of attention from fans and well-wishers across Africa, officially began in Lagos State with the arrival of Juma Jux’s family and close friends. His sister, Fatima Mkambala, was even captured at the airport, excitedly welcoming friends, guests and close relatives.
Popular Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz, has also arrived in Nigeria to support his friend and brother on his big day, which confirms that Juma Jux was not bluffing when he told Hiptv that top East African celebrities would storm the country to celebrate him and his wife-to-be.
Jux has never shied away from rocking the Yoruba agbada attire to show appreciation for his fiancée’s culture, and he never ceases to praise Nigeria’s unique fashion lifestyle.
According to him, he cannot wait to fully immerse himself in the ceremony and experience the Yoruba culture, especially during their traditional wedding. The singer added that he is a big fan of Nigerian cuisine, particularly eba and jollof rice. “I am so excited about my Nigerian traditional wedding coming soon. I can’t wait to wear an Agbada. I am bringing all my groomsmen to Nigeria from Tanzania. I can’t wait to witness the culture. I already love foods like eba, jollof rice, turkey,” he said.
Nollywood actress and mother-of-the-bride, Iyabo Ojo, did not hesitate to build anticipation for her daughter’s special day by recently hinting that the festivities would include 2 major ceremonies in Nigeria. Fans and well-wishers have since jumped online to share clips and pictures with the trending hashtag #JP2025 as the wedding between the 2 lovebirds promises to be the talk of the town for days to come.
