Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has called on the two factional leaders of the Labour Party, Julius Abure and Lamidi Apapa, to tender a formal apology as a condition for their reintegration into the party.
He recently revealed that the apology is all it will take for their sins to be immediately forgotten.
Speaking during the inauguration of Senators Nenadi Usman and Darlington Nwokocha as the interim National Chairman and National Secretary of the party, respectively, at the National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
According to him, before the Labour Party continues with the plan to expel members working against the party, they would be afforded the opportunity to make amends.
“We are calling on aggrieved members of LP including Julius Abure to reconcile with the party. We are not interested in expelling anybody,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has apologized to Senator Adams Oshiomhole for humiliating him.
He recently acknowledged past tensions between them and tendered an apology.
The minister said that he has now realized the gravity of the suffering Oshiomhole endured, hence his decision to apologize on national TV.
“Leader, I know how pained you are and what you passed through, I know the sufferings you suffered, and it was like a humiliation to you. I was part of it because I humiliated you.
I apologised on national TV to you, sorry for what I did to you, leave it and let them carry their wahala and go, focus on the development of Edo, and you will see what you will achieve at the end of the day,” he added.
