Laguda is set to replace Femi Gbajabiamila, the former speaker of the house, who represented the Lagos constituency before his appointment as Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu.
In the election, which was held at the Teslim Balogun stadium on Saturday, Laguda defeated other contestants to clinch the party ticket for the forthcoming election in the constituency.
The nationwide by-election for vacant seats is scheduled for February 3.
