Popular Telecommunications company MTN Nigeria has donated 2 refurbished vehicles to enhance the operations of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The thoughtful gesture is happening amid the NSCDC Lagos State Command’s collaborative efforts with relevant stakeholders and organization.
Speaking via a press statement on Wednesday, 20th August, 2025, NSCDC PRO, Lagos State Command, SC Oluwaseun Abolurin, revealed that Lagos State Commandant, Mr Keshinro Adedotun, was present to receive the vehicles at the MTN’s office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Speaking at the office, Keshinro reiterated his unwavering commitment to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.
He stated that the donation will further boost the cordial relationship between MTN Nigeria and the Corps, noting that the telecom company deserves praise for making life easier for the agency.
According to him, he’ll ensure the vehicles are used to stamp out vandalism, theft and all forms of destruction linked with the telecommunications and information assets across the country.
Reacting, the Acting Senior Manager, MTN Security, Mr Peter Akombo praised the Corps for doing everything possible to safeguard Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in the state.
He vowed to oversee the delivery of a 3rd vehicle immediately after its refurbishment is wrapped up.
Peter maintained that MTN will keep supporting NSCDC and other government agencies, stressing that the aim is to guarantee smooth operations that will improve the security of the telecommunications infrastructure in Lagos.
Mr Keshinro Adedotun was present at the event alongside his team of senior officers.
Mr Humphrey Anafuwe, Mrs Tope Olanipekun, and Mr Daisy Ojarikre (MTN Security) were also available from the MTN office, Ikoyi.
