Popular singer and politician Banky W has completed a Master’s degree in policy management from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
He recently shared photos from the graduation ceremony alongside his family and friends.
Celebrating via his Instagram page, Banky revealed that the past few years have been about growth and introspection for him and his family, and it has been really hectic balancing his studies at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy with parenting duties.
Revealing that he and his wife, Adesua Etomi, welcomed their second child during his academic programme, the singer disclosed that while it was very exhausting for him, the strength of his faith and the support of his family kept him going.
“Parenting two children in the US, while earning a full-time Master’s and serving as a Fellow on Capitol Hill, was completely exhausting. But by the grace of God, the strength of faith, and the support of family, friends, and mentors, we did it,” he wrote.
The politician noted that faith has the ability to redefine endings, therefore, it is no surprise that what many would have seen as the finish line became the starting point of the next chapter of his story.
He didn’t forget to praise Adesua Etomi specially for her unwavering support throughout his journey, joking that he’ll need more of her support when he decides to target a PhD next.
“Faith gives you the courage, resilience, and power to redefine endings. What many may see as the finish line of a journey can become the starting point of the next chapter of your story,” he added.
Banky W and Adesua, who got married in 2017 after featuring in the Nollywood blockbuster “The Wedding Party,” are proud parents of two beautiful sons – Haziah, born in 2021, and Hezekiah, born in 2024.
