The newly elected President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), Rev. Dr. David Olusola Idowu, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Senator Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, the Asiwaju of Remo Christians, in continuation of engagements with prominent stakeholders of the Christian community.
During the visit, Rev. Dr. Idowu commended Senator Daniel for his consistent and unwavering support for the Christian community in all ramifications, describing him as a rare bridge-builder whose gestures have continued to strengthen the church across Remoland and beyond.
A highlight of the visit was the donation of a 30-seater Toyota bus to the Abraham Tabernacle Chorale by the Asiwaju of Remo Christians. The vehicle was formally presented to the choir by the President of the Convention, Rev. Dr. Idowu, on behalf of Senator GbengaDaniel.

About the Nigerian Baptist Convention
The Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) is one of the oldest and largest Christian denominational bodies in Nigeria, tracing its roots to 1850 when Southern Baptist missionaries from the United States began missionary work in Nigeria, with the Convention itself formally established in 1914. Over more than a century, the NBC has grown into a vast network of thousands of local churches, conferences, and associations spread across the country, with a strong emphasis on evangelism, education, healthcare, and community development.

About Abraham Tabernacle Chorale
Abraham Tabernacle Chorale is the music ministry arm of Abraham’s Tabernacle International Worship Centre in Sagamu, Ogun State, under the resident pastorate of Rev. Dr. Israel Olubii Olaniyan. The chorale has, over the years, built a reputation for excellence in gospel music ministration, serving the local congregation while also representing the church at various Baptist conventions, conferences, and inter-denominational programmes. The new bus donation is expected to significantly ease the group’s logistics for ministrations and outreach programmes within and outside Sagamu.
