Nwajagu Chinemerem Samuel, a Nigerian model and fitness enthusiast, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first African to claim the Mister International crown.
The 26-year-old captured the coveted title at the 16th annual competition, which took place at Island Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 14, 2024. His victory marks a significant moment for African representation in international pageantry.
Samuel outshone 47 competitors from across the globe, earning recognition for his stage presence, confidence, and commitment to excellence. Beyond the main title, he also secured the “Best in Swimwear” award, demonstrating his comprehensive appeal as a pageant contestant.
His international success followed a strong national performance earlier in the year. Samuel won the Mister International Nigeria 2024 crown at the Misters of Nigeria competition held June 16, 2024, at Lagos Oriental Hotel, which qualified him for the global stage.
Following his historic achievement, Samuel received an official welcome from Nigerian Embassy representatives in Thailand. Speaking about his win, he thanked his supporters and emphasized his desire to motivate young people throughout Africa to pursue their aspirations with determination.
