Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over alleged fraud.
In a strongly worded Instagram post, Nkechi criticised the anti-graft agency for what she described as a lack of action despite accusations that Blessing had defrauded Nigerians. She also directed harsh remarks at the influencer, stating she was prepared for her return to social media and insisting that justice should be served.
The actress questioned why no steps had been taken against Blessing, arguing that in a more effective system, the allegations would have already led to legal consequences.
Nkechi’s reaction follows recent claims by Blessing CEO that she is battling breast cancer and requires urgent surgery. The announcement, made via Instagram, included an appeal for financial assistance.
The development has generated mixed reactions online. While some supporters expressed sympathy and offered donations, others raised doubts about the authenticity of the diagnosis, calling on her to provide medical evidence.
Responding to the scepticism, Blessing stated that she had not yet made her medical report public but would do so at the appropriate time. She also maintained that any financial support received was voluntary and not dependent on releasing her medical records.
