A nurse at the Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Zamfara State, Asma’u Lawali Bungudu, on Wednesday morning slumped and died while on duty.

She was said to have had no health challenges when she arrived at the hospital for work early on Wednesday but was confirmed dead a few hours after she resumed duty.

Auwal Usman, who is the spokesman of the hospital confirmed the incident, pointing out that Asma’u was at her duty post and had checked the blood pressure of about 30 patients before she complained about a cardiac issue to a doctor.

He added that the nurse immediately slumped after her complaints and doctors rushed to save her but unfortunately lost her.
