CHRIST’S AUTHORITY OVER EVERY SPIRITUAL BONDAGE
MEMORY VERSE:
“When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.” – Matthew 8:16 (NIV)
BIBLE READING: Mark 5:2-20 (KJV)

MESSAGE:
Demonic possession is a devastating condition that affects every aspect of a person’s life. When evil spirits take control, they drive individuals toward destruction and even self-harm, as illustrated in today’s reading. Yet no matter how severe the oppression, deliverance is possible through prayer and the mighty word of God. Jesus spoke only a few words, and the tormented man of Gadara was instantly freed from a legion of demons. Truly, nothing is too hard for the Lord (Jeremiah 32:27).
The enemy shows no regard for social standing, education, or wealth when selecting his victims. He also determines how many demons will afflict each person. The Gadarene demoniac housed thousands of demons, Mary Magdalene carried seven (Luke 8:2), while the man in Mark 1:21-23 struggled with just one. Regardless of the intensity of the devil’s assault against you or your loved ones, I declare by God’s authority that his schemes have failed in Jesus’ name.
I remember during the 1980s when people suffering from demonic madness were regularly brought to Redemption Camp (now Redemption City). We would house them in a dedicated building where we interceded until they were set free. On one occasion, a man who was already experiencing partial restoration suddenly ran out shouting, “Help me! They’ve brought a madman to stay with me!” Though not yet completely healed, he reacted in alarm when another possessed individual arrived. Eventually, both men walked away completely free. No level of demonic control is beyond God’s power to break, because nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37).
Scripture records numerous instances where Jesus liberated people from demonic affliction simply by speaking. When He releases His word, healing and freedom follow. Psalm 107:20 declares, “He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.”
I pray that God will speak His word into every area of your life where the enemy may be operating, and you will experience complete deliverance today in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT:
No matter how severe the demonic oppression, freedom comes through prayer and the power of God’s word.
