Seventy years after its founding, Baptist High School (BHS), Iwo, reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating excellence by honoring two distinguished Nigerians—His Excellency Senator Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State, and Her Excellency Yeye Olufunke Daniel, an alumna and philanthropist—during its milestone 70th-anniversary event on Saturday. The ceremony, a vibrant gathering of alumni, educators, and community leaders, spotlighted the institution’s enduring impact and its tradition of recognizing individuals who drive educational and societal progress.
Senator Daniel was conferred with the BHS Honorary Award for his “exceptional leadership,” while Yeye Olufunke Daniel received the Adeke Distinguished Old Student Award in recognition of her philanthropic efforts and dedication to grassroots empowerment.
