A new chapter in Pan-African leadership and economic collaboration unfolded in Johannesburg in March 2026, as W.O.W Africa (Workshops of Wealth) hosted its inaugural 50 Women Honour Circle, a private, invitation-only convening that brought together some of the continent’s most influential women leaders from across enterprise, governance, investment and continental development.

The gathering, held on 7 March 2026, marked not only a celebration of women’s leadership but also served as the launch pad for two significant new initiatives, the W.O.W Africa Magazine and the formation of the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100, a selective global-Pan-African capital authority platform.

The Honour Circle created what organisers described as “a rare environment” where women shaping Africa’s economic trajectory could connect with intention and purpose. The guest list reflected the breadth and depth of women’s leadership across the continent and its diaspora.

Among those recognised was Ambassador Dr Chanita Foster of the United States, whose humanitarian leadership and international development work have earned global respect. Dr Vivian Mokome, recognised for her contributions to economic empowerment and social impact, was also honoured, alongside Mwanvita Makamba of Tanzania, founder of MMConnect, a venture known for facilitating cross-border partnerships and enterprise collaboration across African markets.

The convening further included Lenore Goss-Matjie, the entrepreneur and image architect whose work continues to influence leadership presence and brand positioning across the continent, and Fatima Joyce Packery, a prominent voice within Africa’s mineral and resources sector whose work in mining contributes to critical conversations around responsible resource development and economic participation.

Professional sectors were well represented, with Sanelisiew Ngcobo, a South African property law attorney whose practice strengthens legal frameworks within the real estate and development space, joining entrepreneurs, investors, medical professionals and institutional leaders whose collective work shapes industries across Africa.

W.O.W Africa Magazine Launches

The evening also marked the official launch of W.O.W Africa Magazine, a digital publication now live at www.wowafricamagazine.com. The platform aims to highlight the leadership, entrepreneurship, governance and capital conversations emerging across Africa and its global diaspora.

Through the publication, W.O.W Africa seeks to spotlight the individuals and institutions actively contributing to the continent’s long-term economic development, providing a dedicated space for the stories and strategies that are shaping Africa’s future.

Formation of the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100

Building on the momentum of the Honour Circle, a select group of leaders reconvened on 9 March 2026 to begin forming the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100. The initiative is envisioned as a private global-Pan-African capital authority platform, designed to bring together a limited group of leaders operating across enterprise, capital, governance and development sectors.

Crucially, organisers emphasised that participation in the Chamber is separate from the Honour Circle recognition and remains intentionally selective. While the 50 Women Honour Circle celebrated leadership across industries, membership in the Chamber 100 continues to be confirmed among founding members.

The Chamber seeks to create an environment where leaders can align around opportunities that strengthen African enterprise, capital formation and continental collaboration, moving beyond recognition to active partnership in shaping economic outcomes.

The Broader Vision

Speaking on the initiative, founder Lelo N, the entrepreneur and Pan-African capital architect behind Workshops of Wealth, articulated the vision driving these developments:

“W.O.W was created to recognise those who are actively building Africa’s future and to create spaces where leadership, capital and collaboration can align.”

The 50 Women Honour Circle, the magazine launch, and the Chamber 100 formation all form part of this broader mission: creating environments where leaders across Africa and the global diaspora can connect around ideas, partnerships and capital capable of shaping the continent’s economic future.

Looking Ahead: W.O.W Africa 50 Men Honour Circle

Following the success of the women’s gathering, preparations are already underway for the W.O.W Africa 50 Men Honour Circle, scheduled for 6 June 2026. The upcoming convening will recognise a select group of men whose leadership reflects stewardship, responsibility and a commitment to building institutions that strengthen Africa’s economic future.

Organisers describe the men being honoured as those who “build enterprises, steward capital and champion the advancement of women, families and communities across the continent,” positioning the initiative within a broader understanding of inclusive, responsible leadership.

As W.O.W Africa continues to expand its reach as a global Pan-African leadership platform, opportunities are emerging for organisations seeking to align with the movement through strategic partnerships and sponsorships. Enquiries can be directed to partners@workshopsofwealth.com.

About W.O.W Africa

Workshops of Wealth (W.O.W Africa) is a global-Pan-African platform dedicated to advancing leadership, entrepreneurship, capital formation and cross-border collaboration across Africa and its diaspora. Through convenings, digital platforms and leadership initiatives, W.O.W Africa connects individuals actively shaping the continent’s economic future, operating under the unifying banner of The House of W.O.W.

The March 2026 gatherings in Johannesburg represent a significant milestone in this journey, laying the foundation for what organisers hope will become an enduring infrastructure for African leadership, capital formation and continental collaboration for years to come.
