Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has predicted that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will finish fourth in the 2027 general elections.
He recently blamed the party’s internal crisis and sidelining of key leaders for its fading relevance.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, he blasted the PDP for undermining him, stating that it was the reason he chose not to attend the party’s recent National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, even though he was invited.
According to him, the People’s Democratic Party is already compromised in several states, and the party’s lack of unity has chased away many good leaders.
“Today, I am telling you the PDP will come fourth in the general elections. In most states, they are already compromised. They have eased out so many leaders. It’s good for them, but let me remind you, I was part of the G5,” he said.
He further described the PDP as a “carcass,” referencing the exit of several major figures.
Despite his criticism, he confirmed that he remains loyal to the party.
“Presidential candidate has left, Vice Presidential candidate has left, senators have left, governors have left. But I can’t join APC, ADC or Labour Party,” he added.
