Popular Nigerian TikToker and livestreamer, Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, better known as Peller, has criticised Nigerian musicians over what he described as their dismissive attitude toward local streamers.
Speaking during a recent livestream in Enugu, Peller alleged that many Nigerian artistes prefer engaging with foreign influencers and media platforms rather than supporting homegrown content creators.
According to him, local streamers are often overlooked until musicians begin to lose relevance in the industry. He urged entertainers to value Nigerian media personalities regardless of their international success.
In his remarks, Peller said only a few artistes consistently show support for local creators, singling out Davido, Olamide, and Tiwa Savage as notable exceptions.
Meanwhile, the Benin Traditional Council has sanctioned several individuals following Peller’s controversial visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin.
The council described the incident as a violation of palace protocol, stating that Peller and his team gained access without proper clearance, causing disruption within the palace.
Following a preliminary investigation, a palace chief was suspended, while a staff member, identified as Mr. Omuemu, was arrested and charged for allegedly facilitating the unauthorised entry. A queen linked to the incident is also under review and could face removal.
