Popular online streamer and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, a.k.a Peller, appeared to have been kidnapped during a livestream on Wednesday night.
The streamer, who was live during the alleged kidnap incident, was heard in the videos from the livestream saying, “You dey carry gun, Ogun wan kill you? Calm down jor. Na who you come dey point gun for?”
One of the unknown gunmen replied, “Na me you dey follow me the tok like that? I say make you calm down, you dey follow me dey tok anyhow.”
The noises in the background amid the back and forth hinted that the streamer and gunmen got involved in a scuffle.
After some time, someone who was at the scene with Peller announced that he had been abducted and taken to an unknown location.
The faces of the alleged kidnappers were not captured in the clip.
The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with many concluding it was a skit, while others expressed concern over Peller’s safety.
The details of the incident are still unclear at the moment.
The Nigeria Police Force has not reacted to the alleged kidnap thus far.
