Popular comedian and Nollywood actor, Seyi Law has reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu’s government. He recently insisted that if Bola Ahmed Tinubu is unable to transform Nigeria as president, he honestly doubts any other politician can.
Speaking during an interview on TejuBabyFace show, Seyi Law revealed that he will not hesitate to endure the present hardship under Tinubu’s leadership because that is so much better compared to temporary comforts that will not make Nigeria better in the long run.
According to him, Nigerians should learn how to engage in constructive criticism when they discuss life under the current government, instead of expressing blind hatred towards the present administration any chance they get. He believes that while many might disagree, Tinubu‘s performance has not been terrible thus far, and politicians like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi wouldn’t have performed better if they were in power.
“I tell you wholeheartedly, not with any sentiment, if Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot redirect the ship of Nigeria, no politician currently can do it. None. Not Atiku, not Peter Obi. Not with what I know about all of them,” he said.
Seyi Law maintained that his support for President Tinubu is not because he was paid to hype him up, but because he has complete faith in his leadership and expects his children and grandkids to enjoy the fruits of BAT’s policies for years to come. The comedian said that being criticised for his current stance doesn’t faze him one bit, since he is sure of himself and his family reaping the benefit of the president’s reforms in the future.
“Some Nigerians hate me for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They don’t even support my shows anymore. You might not support me today but I will want to be 70 and 80 and see my children enjoying the benefits of the sacrifices I have made today,” he added.
