Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has stirred reactions on social media following a humorous incident involving a couple during a wedding performance.
In a viral video from the event, the award-winning singer was entertaining guests with her usual energetic stage presence when she approached a male guest who appeared excited and was recording her performance.
While singing the popular line, “Bobo no go die unless to ba darugbo,” famously associated with Fuji icon King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), Teni playfully attempted to dance with the guest.
However, a woman believed to be the man’s wife quickly stepped in and pulled him away, preventing the interaction from going any further.
The unexpected moment drew laughter from guests, prompting Teni to respond with a joke. Turning to the crowd, she said, “Help me say sorry, ma. The owner of the property has claimed the property.”
The light-hearted exchange has since gone viral online, with many social media users praising the singer’s quick wit and sense of humour.
Meanwhile, Nigerian singer Spyro has shared his thoughts on why some entertainers struggle financially despite earning substantial income during their careers.
Speaking during a recent event, Spyro argued that poor financial decisions are often responsible for the downfall of some artistes. According to him, excessive spending on lavish lifestyles, parties, luxury trips and relationships, rather than investments and savings, has left several musicians broke after achieving success.
He maintained that while enjoying one’s earnings is important, reckless spending can quickly erode wealth and hinder long-term financial stability.
