President Bola Tinubu has unveiled the full list of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 election.
A statement issued Saturday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed that Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will chair and co-chair the council, with former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as director-general.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as secretary, while APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as deputy and assistant secretaries respectively. Party Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda will also serve as vice chairman.
Tinubu will be supported by a panel of advisers made up of Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Senator Florence Ita-Giwa.
According to the statement, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abass, and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni have been assigned as deputy director-generals for the campaign in the south and north respectively, working alongside Senator Bamidele Opeyemi and Senator Jibril Barau.
TINUBUSenator Adams Oshiomhole will oversee mobilisation as deputy director-general, while the President’s Chief of Staff takes charge of administration. James Abiodun Faleke, who played a key role in the 2022/2023 campaign, returns as deputy director-general for election planning, coordination and monitoring.
Faleke will work with zonal directors — Senator Olushola Adeyeye (South West), Dr Ngozi Olejeme (South South), Senator Uche Ekwunife (South East), Muntaqha Rabe (North West), Ahmed Muhammed Ketso (North Central), and Senator Sani Danladi (North East). Stella Okotete, Engineer Abdullahi Garba Ramat, and Audu Maikori will serve as secretaries of the election planning directorate.
Muiz Adeyemi Banire will lead the legal directorate, supported by Dr Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala as deputies, alongside Prince Lateef Fagbemi, former Governor Ibrahim Shema, Worgu Boms, and Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, will coordinate media and strategic communication alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga, and Lanre Issa-Onilu. Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala, and Felix Morka will serve as coordinating deputy directors.
Abdulaziz AbdulAziz, Temitope Ajayi, Arabinrin Aderonke, and Frederick Nwabufor will serve as coordinating secretaries of the media directorate. Segun Dada returns as Director, New Media — a role he held in 2022 — with Solomon Arowolo as Secretary, New Media.
Five spokespersons have also been named, led by Dele Alake, alongside Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu, and Adamu Fanda.
Tinubu has charged council members to work tirelessly to deliver victory for the party in the January 2027 elections, urging directorate leaders to reach out to party members not formally listed to join the campaign effort.
He said the administration has delivered on its promises and set the country on a path of economic progress, describing Nigeria as past its economic difficulties and on the cusp of reaping the benefits of a prosperous economy. He urged council members to showcase the party’s record and defeat what he called forces working to take the country backwards.
