President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said that some people are conspiring to oust the president.
He recently had his say while describing Tinubu’s government as “the most focused and transformative in Nigeria’s history.”
Speaking via his social media page, Bayo alleged that “haters of Nigeria’s progress are banding together to overthrow an administration that has been the most focused, most transformative in our history.”
According to him, BAT’s ongoing reforms have started reshaping Nigeria’s future, unlike other leaders who promise effortless prosperity that is not realistic.
Quoting Sanusi, he wrote, “Emir Sanusi warned Nigerians what to expect from President Tinubu’s reforms. ‘It’s not going to be easy.’ If anybody tells you it would be easy, don’t vote for him.”
His tweet is coming amid the formation of an opposition alliance under the African Democratic Congress platform, aimed at unseating Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu, has said that there is no rift between his principal and President Bola Tinubu.
He recently revealed that rumors of a fractured relationship between the two leaders are not true.
According to him, Buhari has always described himself as a man who will never be ungrateful, so there is no way he’ll turn his back on a party that helped him serve 2 terms as president anytime soon.
“When people are entitled to hold their opinion, and your interpretation of it is purely your entitlement.
I don’t think in a formal and official sense, anybody would talk about distrust or mistrust or a façade between the Buhari administration and the Tinubu administration.
For Muhammadu Buhari, for him, he’s essentially an APC member.
He does not forget the fact that he ran one, two, three times and failed to get the presidency until they cobbled together the APC.
APC came together and gave him two terms, for which he has remained grateful, and says—and that’s what I’ve learned from him—‘I will never be ungrateful. I will never betray the party that gave me two terms in office,” he added.
