The back and forth between Donald Trump and Elon Musk is not ending anytime soon.
The tech billionaire recently ignited a political firestorm after alleging that Trump is named in the unsealed files connected to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” he shared.
Even though Elon did not not back his claim with any documentation, his words have already sparked debate about transparency in the long-running Epstein investigation and reignited scrutiny over the relationships Epstein maintained with powerful global figures.
As of now, Trump has yet to respond publicly to the allegation, but the president has previously acknowledged knowing Epstein socially, despite denying any wrongdoing or close association.
Musk also said that Trump would have definitely lost the election without his support.
According to him, without his support, democrats would have surely controlled the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate, so the President has him to thank for attaining his current position.
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate. Such ingratitude,” he said.
This is coming after Donald Trump questioned his relationship with Elon Musk, indicating that their alliance might be over. The President revealed that he doesn’t know if he and the X owner will still have a great relationship after Musk came out to blast the GOP’s spending bill.
Trump stated that even if Elon is yet to say anything bad about him personally, he believes that it will most likely happen soon.
Expressing his disappointment at how things have turned out, he stressed that he has helped the tech boss a lot and expected better.
“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore. He hasn’t said bad about me personally, but I’m sure that’ll be next. But I’m very disappointed … I’ve helped Elon a lot,” he added.
