Anthony Joshua Eyes Ring Return Ahead of Prenga Fight Amid Personal Tragedy

Anthony Joshua Eyes Ring Return Ahead of Prenga Fight Amid Personal Tragedy

**Headline:** Insecurity: Military Can Track Bandits Like Ordinary Citizens – Buratai Calls for Stronger Capacity Building Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (retd.), has expressed confidence in the ability of Nigeria’s security agencies to track down bandits, insisting that if they can locate ordinary citizens and social media users, they should also be able to trace criminal elements. Buratai made the remarks during an interview on TVC, amid growing public concern over recent abductions, including the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State, where a teacher was reportedly killed by the abductors. According to him, the security challenges facing the country may not necessarily be about lack of capacity alone, but also point to the need for improved training, recruitment, and overall strengthening of the system. “I don’t believe security agencies cannot locate bandits if they can locate ordinary citizens and social media influencers,” he said. He added that more personnel are needed across the security architecture, stressing the importance of continuous recruitment and retraining of soldiers and police officers to improve operational effectiveness. “We need more troops, more operatives, more policemen recruited, trained and retrained,” Buratai stated. Meanwhile, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has alleged that the recent kidnapping incident in Oyo State may have been politically motivated, suggesting it could have been staged to discredit or blackmail the government. Fayose made the claim during an interview on Channels Television, where he also questioned the timing of the incident and raised concerns about possible political undertones. He further suggested that the incident might be linked to efforts aimed at undermining President Bola Tinubu’s administration, though his comments remain allegations and have not been substantiated.

Wema Bank, Nigeria’s leading innovative bank and the creator of Africa’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, is gearing up for the launch of the highly anticipated Season 4 of its Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo. This transformative reward initiative will officially begin on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Since its introduction in 2021, the Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo has served as a platform to reward loyal customers who actively engage with the bank’s services and products. Through this seasonal initiative, customers are selected via thoroughly regulated live draws based on the promo’s specific requirements and benchmarks. With a minimum transaction requirement of just ₦5,000, the promo has become a source of financial support, business growth, and goal acceleration for thousands of Nigerians.

Over the course of three seasons, the Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo has rewarded a total of 2,378 Nigerians, disbursing over ₦150 million across the country. Season 1 saw 639 winners take home ₦31.5 million, Season 2 had 539 winners sharing ₦31.85 million, and Season 3—spanning from August 2023 to July 2024—rewarded 1,200 customers with ₦90 million. As the new season approaches, excitement is building as customers await even more financial rewards from Wema Bank.

To participate, Wema Bank customers are encouraged to request a debit card or onboard via the ALAT app and USSD banking platform (*945#), ensuring they are ready to take part in this exciting new season. For non-customers interested in joining, simply opening a Wema Bank or ALAT account is the first step toward potential rewards.

Reaffirming Wema Bank’s commitment to enhancing customer experience, Moruf Oseni, MD/CEO of Wema Bank, emphasized the significance of the promo:
“At Wema Bank, our core value is to deliver optimum returns to our customers. This is not limited to just financial gains but extends to innovative ways of providing a rewarding banking experience. The Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo is a testament to our dedication, and I can confidently say that Season 4 will be the biggest one yet.”

He added: “This initiative has empowered Nigerians, transforming lives, establishing businesses, and giving hope to people across all walks of life. With the Independence Day live draw kicking off Season 4, we are setting the stage for an exciting season, filled with even more opportunities for our customers to win big.”

The Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo Season 4 promises to be a game-changer, with substantial rewards available for customers using qualifying Wema Bank transaction channels, such as the ALAT app, Wema/ALAT card, and the USSD banking platform (*945#).
