Former Nigerian senator and popular media mogul Ben Murray-Bruce has said that World War III is imminent.
He, however, predicted that Nigeria and Africa would be safe from its devastation.
Speaking during an interview, Bruce revealed that he doesn’t think anyone or anything would be able to stop the looming war at this point.
According to him, the widespread availability of weapons and the rising list of impulsive presidents across the globe are the obvious factors leading to an inevitable global war.
“I see World War III coming. I don’t think there’s anything we can do to stop it..
You have nuclear weapons, you have arms everywhere. Everybody has a gun. It’s a scary world. You have leaders who are impulsive, trigger-happy. I see a world war coming and it’s going to be terrible,” he said.
Despite the sad prediction, Ben Murray Bruce declared that Africa, and Nigeria in particular, will not be affected.
Citing Nigeria’s lack of nuclear weapons as the reason the country will be safe, the Silverbird owner stated that the nation being absolutely friendly with other countries will protect its people from harm during the war.
He maintained that as soon as the war starts, Nigeria should expect citizens from other attacked countries to rush in looking for a safe haven.
Ben predicted that he sees more Americans, Israelis and Iranians seeking safety in Nigeria when that time comes, stressing that Africa will be the only safe continent all over the world.
“We’re not fighting anybody. We don’t have nuclear weapons. We’re not invading anybody. We’re not attacking anybody. We’re friends with all our West African neighbours.
When the world war happens, people are going to look for a safe haven, and the only place safe will be Africa. Nigerians will open our arms and welcome everybody.
You’re all going to be in Nigeria. Americans will be in Nigeria. Israelis will be in Nigeria. Iranians will be in Nigeria. But you all have your visas before you come. We don’t want you to come as immigrants. But we’re going to treat you well. You’ll live in Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Banana Island. You’re welcome,” he added.
His detailed prediction is coming amid rising tensions across the globe, including the lingering Russia-Ukraine war and the recent bitter hostilities between Israel and Iran.
While many are currently praying for peace to prevail eventually, others are already bracing themselves for the global war the ongoing power struggle will most likely lead to.
