Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has opened up about the breakdown of his relationship with fellow actress Funke Akindele, offering insight into what he described as a disappointing experience within the movie industry.
Speaking during a live session on TikTok, Fabiyi recounted how his once-close friendship with Akindele suddenly came to an end. According to him, the two had maintained a cordial relationship for years without any known conflict.
He revealed that their last conversation occurred when he informed her about completing his house project. Since then, he claimed, all communication between them ceased without any explanation.
Reflecting on the situation, Fabiyi expressed disappointment, noting that he had believed their friendship was genuine and could not identify any wrongdoing on his part that might have caused the fallout.
The actor also used the opportunity to share his broader views on the Nigerian film industry, stating that appearances can be misleading and that people are not always as they seem behind the scenes.
In his words, the experience reinforced his belief that the industry can be unpredictable, with personal relationships sometimes ending unexpectedly.
