The founder of Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie has said that Christians should give offerings that are larger than their tithes.
The clergyman recently had his say while speaking to his congregation during his latest sermon.
According to him, if believers can make sure their offering is bigger than their tithe for at least one month, they will never be broke.
The pastor stated that he personally pays nothing less than 20 percent of his income as offering for the church, and that is the reason why God has kept blessing him.
“In a month your offering should be bigger than your tithe. My offering, for instance – I don’t give less than 20 percent. That’s why I’m not poor. Increase your offering more than your tithe and you’ll never be broke,” he said.
He further noted that tithing, which is 10 percent of one’s income, is the only foundation for unlimited prosperity.
Pastor David told Christians that they can pay their tithes whenever they get the money, and they don’t necessarily have to wait until month-end.
He concluded by saying that paying tithes has to be a lifestyle for every believer who wants God’s blessings to continue.
“Tithe is the foundation of your covenant to prosperity. Don’t wait until month-end before you pay your tithe. Anytime you get money, pay 10% back to God as a lifestyle,” he added.
