Popular comedian and skitmaker Woli Arole has doubled down on his controversial stance regarding surrogacy.
Recall that he recently said that healthy women choosing surrogacy as their preferred childbirth option is wrong.
Reacting to the backlash his stance attracted, Arole disclosed that those saying he is being judgmental should know that the current generation of women cannot be allowed to send the wrong signal to young girls.
According to him, if our women are allowed to continue the wrong trend, teenage girls will start to fancy the idea of using someone else’s womb to have kids when they are old enough.
He stated that such a wrong mindset will only derail our future women, and the blessing that comes with carrying your own child with your womb will be missed.
“Whatever thing we are doing naw is sending a signal to the younger generation, teenagers and young mind. Imagine your 17yrs old sister saying ‘When I am married too, I won’t use my womb to have child Oooo’. My body is my choice. All we do and say here is creating a MINDSET,” he wrote.
The spiritual creative further noted that women should stop saying it’s their choice to do whatever they like with their bodies, stressing that our body is the temple of God.
Arole concluded by saying that Nigerians should learn to accept the truth for what it is instead of passionately defending rubbish.
