A two-year-old girl stole the show during Senator Gbenga Daniel’s Midterm Community Assessment and Review Tour in Ikenne Local Government Area. She instantly became the talk of the event after insisting on holding the APC flag to salute the former governor of Ogun State.
The heartwarming moment happened during the ongoing BATOGD Movement Midterm Review Tour across Ogun East Senatorial District, and it immediately drew a resounding applause from the large crowd of party supporters and community members.
Eyewitnesses appreciated the child’s determination to hold the party flag throughout the event, and many hailed her incredible resilience, which aligned with what the tour stands for.
“She refused to drop it. It was as if she understood the message of loyalty and hope that the tour represents,” an organizer said.
According to reports, the little girl showed up at the event alongside her mother, a dedicated party member, who made her way to the gathering despite alleged attempts by some local executives to discourage attendance at programmes linked to Senator Daniel and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during the tour, her mother revealed that she has no regrets attending because Senator Gbenga Daniel’s support for women’s healthcare and scholarship initiatives deserves commendation.
“I brought my daughter because Senator Gbenga Daniel is a good humanitarian who loves mothers and children,” she stated.
The Ikenne stop formed part of OGD’s nine-local-government-wide midterm tour, which has also covered Sagamu, Ijebu North East, and Ijebu East, and the initiative focuses on community engagement, project assessment, and constituency feedback.
Attendees hailed Senator Daniel for his contributions to education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, stressing that his inclusive leadership style has continued to bridge the gap between government and the grassroots.
At the end of the programme, party loyalists gathered to sing and cheer, while celebrating another fruitful gathering.
