African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has revealed key aspects of his agenda for the 2027 presidential election, proposing the use of artificial intelligence (AI), drone technology, and blockchain to transform governance, tackle corruption, and strengthen national security.
In a series of posts shared on his verified X account on Friday, Sowore said his administration would embrace emerging technologies to improve transparency, reduce waste, and modernize public administration if elected president.
According to him, artificial intelligence would effectively serve as the country’s “Minister of Finance,” while drone technology would function as the “Minister of Defence,” helping to eliminate inefficiencies and improve security operations.
“Sowore2027 will appoint Artificial Intelligence as ‘Minister of Finance’ and a ‘Drone’ as Minister of Defence,” he wrote.
He explained that AI would remove human interference from public finance by making transparent, data-driven decisions, while drones would enhance national security through advanced surveillance, rapid response, precision operations, and greater accountability.
Sowore also identified blockchain technology and artificial intelligence as central tools in his administration’s anti-corruption strategy.
He said blockchain would create a permanent and tamper-proof public record of government transactions, contracts, budget allocations, and expenditures, making it difficult to manipulate official financial records.
According to him, AI would continuously monitor government activities, conduct real-time audits, detect suspicious financial transactions, identify procurement irregularities, and expose fraud or conflicts of interest before public funds are misused.
Sowore argued that combining both technologies would significantly reduce corruption by making fraudulent practices easier to detect and prosecute.
He further stated that deploying AI in public finance management would streamline government operations by reducing bureaucracy and improving efficiency.
“With AI as ‘Minister of Finance,’ we will no longer need bloated bureaucracies, endless convoys, handwritten receipts, paper ledgers that can be altered, or wasteful seminars that increase overhead, slow decision-making, and fuel systemic corruption,” he said.
He added that his vision is to build a leaner, faster, more transparent, and accountable government focused on improving the quality of life of Nigerians through technology-driven governance.
Sowore has consistently promoted digital governance, institutional reforms, and the use of technology as key pillars of his #Sowore2027 campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.
