The Pat & Gbenga Komolafe Foundation proudly celebrated the graduation of its first cohort of trainees in Digital Upskilling and No-Code Web Development, marking a significant milestone in its mission to equip Nigerian youth with future-ready digital skills. This initiative underscores the Foundation’s dedication to providing young Nigerians with the tools to thrive in the fast-evolving digital landscape.

Participants from across the country, including Ondo, Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom states, underwent weeks of hands-on training, mastering the use of no-code platforms and advanced digital technologies. The program aimed to boost employability, encourage entrepreneurship, and contribute to Nigeria’s expanding tech ecosystem.

During the graduation ceremony, participants proudly showcased projects such as business websites, e-commerce platforms, and other digital solutions built using no-code tools.

Testimonies from Participants

  • Adeola from Ondo State shared: “The training exceeded my expectations. I had no prior experience in web development, but now I can confidently create functional websites for small businesses. This new skill will help me contribute more to my community and possibly start my own web development agency.”
  • Tayo from Lagos State expressed: “I’ve always been interested in tech, but coding seemed intimidating. This no-code training opened a new world for me. I can now develop websites with ease and have already secured a freelance gig!”
  • Chidinma from Abuja said: “The Digital Upskilling program has been life-changing. Before this, I struggled with basic computer skills. Now, I’m confident using digital platforms, building websites, and even creating apps without writing a single line of code.”
  • Mustapha from Kano State mentioned: “I never thought I could build a website, but this training proved that technology is accessible to everyone. I now plan to use these skills to launch an e-commerce platform for small businesses in my community.”
  • Fatima from Kaduna State added: “The skills I’ve gained have expanded my career options, and I’m already applying them in my job. I’m excited about what the future holds.”
  • Tamunotonye from Rivers State remarked: “I wanted to transition into tech without becoming a programmer, and this program provided the perfect entry point. I feel empowered to innovate.”
  • Iniobong from Akwa Ibom State shared: “This program has set me on a path to success. I’m confident in helping businesses establish an online presence, and I’m excited about the professional opportunities ahead.”

Commitment to Youth Empowerment

Pat and Gbenga Komolafe, founders of the Foundation, expressed excitement about the outcome, saying, “This is only the beginning. We are committed to offering life-changing opportunities to Nigerian youth. These graduates represent a new wave of tech-savvy individuals poised to transform their communities and Nigeria’s digital future.”

Josh Emmanuel, the Programme Director, added, “Our mission is to empower young Nigerians with the skills they need to excel in the digital world. We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and dedication of our participants.”

The Pat & Gbenga Komolafe Foundation plans to expand its digital training programs, aiming to continue fostering digital inclusion and youth empowerment across Nigeria.
