When Expo 2020 Dubai brought together innovations from 192 countries, millions needed help understanding what it all meant. Tomilola Boyinde stepped into that gap.
As Media Ambassador for DP World, the Expo’s Premier Partner, Boyinde visited every pavilion to document emerging technologies, artistic expressions, and innovations on display. Rather than simply reporting what he saw, he worked to connect the dots between breakthroughs and real-world impact.
His approach centered on World Expo Stories, an independent initiative he created during the event. Through daily updates on LinkedIn, he translated complex innovations in clean energy, smart mobility, advanced manufacturing, and climate resilience into accessible narratives that resonated with international audiences.
Inside the DP World Flow Pavilion, Boyinde led tours for government officials, diplomats, technology executives, and industry leaders, explaining how global trade and logistics are evolving through technology and sustainability. He also supported strategic communication efforts that made supply chain innovation understandable to diverse visitors.
Over six months, Boyinde engaged with ideas from every participating nation, consistently emphasizing innovations from emerging economies and underrepresented regions. His work wasn’t about volume but intention: keeping people, purpose, and impact at the center of technological progress.
As conversations around inclusive and ethical innovation continue, Boyinde’s Expo 2020 work highlights the essential role of storytellers who help the world not just see the future, but understand it.
Visual highlights and commentary from his Expo coverage remain available on his LinkedIn page.
