A lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University has revealed an unconventional but effective strategy that has significantly increased student attendance in his classes.
In a video shared on TikTok, the academic disclosed that he began using picture-based attendance, photographing students after each lecture, as a way to track and encourage presence. Since adopting this method, he noted, students have become far more consistent in showing up for lectures.
The lecturer also included a slideshow of students who attended his class.
