Bashir Isa Gusau, the North-West Youth Leader for the Tinubu/Shettima campaign organization in Zamfara State, was seized by suspected bandits during a raid on his home, according to reports that emerged Thursday.
Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident on social media, stating that more than 30 armed individuals stormed Gusau’s residence in Gusau town and took him away while his wife witnessed the abduction. The incident has left his family in distress.
Despite immediate notification of security agencies, efforts to locate and rescue Gusau have yielded no results. Bakatsine expressed frustration over the continued security challenges facing Zamfara residents, questioning how long communities would remain vulnerable to such attacks.
“Security agencies were alerted, but there has been no trace of him yet,” Bakatsine wrote in his post, adding concerns about the frequency of bandit operations in the region.
No official statement from security authorities had been released regarding the abduction at the time of reporting.
