YouShine Girls Ministry is set to host a special mentorship programme on February 28, 2026, in Surulere, Lagos, bringing together twenty teenage girls and young mothers for an experience designed to build confidence, awaken purpose, and foster personal growth.
The initiative reflects the vision of the ministry’s founder, Elizabeth Henry, whose mission centers on mentoring, empowering, and transforming young women through spiritual support, practical guidance, and the tools they need to thrive.
Henry notes that many young girls and young mothers face emotional, social, and spiritual challenges that can hinder their development and limit their sense of self. The programme, she explains, is a response to those struggles, offering a safe and nurturing environment where participants can receive life guidance, spiritual encouragement, and empowering conversations.
Attendees will also benefit from support packages and an atmosphere rooted in community, love, and sisterhood — elements Henry considers essential to lasting transformation.
She further stressed that when a young woman understands her worth and receives the right mentorship, she becomes capable of making meaningful decisions and positively influencing those around her. With that in mind, the programme is structured to deliver a wholesome experience that supports emotional stability, personal development, and spiritual grounding.
For YouShine Girls Ministry, the February 28 event is more than a one-day gathering — it is a deliberate investment in the next generation of confident, purpose-driven women.
