The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) has suspended Nollywood actor, Shoneye Olamilekan, aka Papa Show, for physically abusing a female junior colleague, Temidayo Morkinyo.
Apple’s Bite gathered that Temidayo accused the actor of physically abusing her on a movie set.
Temidayo said in a series of pictures on her Instagram account that the actor and other boys had invaded her filming location in Ibadan, Oyo State, to beat her up.
She claims that on May 18, when she reported Papa Show’s disorderly behavior to her superiors, he hit her in the face and broke her lip.
Narrating her ordeal, the actress said on Wednesday, while she was on a movie set, Papa Show called her angrily and asked her to bring him a drink.
She went on to say that she felt mocked by the way he spoke to her yet she still obeyed.
Afeez Abiodun Seriki and Niyi Johnson, her superiors, agreed to summon him to order when she reported him to them.
After being admonished, the actor unexpectedly invaded her set with several others to beat her up.
Temidayo continued by saying that her family is demanding justice because the assault is said to have caused her anguish.
Reacting to it, AFRIMEK, in a letter signed by the Mayor, Femi Adebayo, has distanced itself from the actor.
Adebayo, in the letter, stated that his actions do not represent the identity for which their club stands for and has been known to present.
“His shameful act has left the association to sanction him and place him on immediate suspension, while further investigations are ongoing,” the Mayor added.
The association also sympathize with Temidayo and offered to cover her medical expenses.
