The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has installed filmmaker and actor Emmanuel Ehumadu as the chairman of the Interim Caretaker Committee for its Abia state chapter. According to AGN National President Emeka Rollas, the appointment aims to stabilize the chapter and foster peace in the region.
The interim committee, which includes Moir Mba as secretary, will oversee the chapter’s affairs until new state executives are elected. Ehumadu’s responsibilities include administering the chapter, advancing the peace process, and carrying out additional duties as assigned by the national body.
In his statement, Rollas emphasized the significance of the appointment while also outlining clear expectations. “I urge Ehumadu to take this appointment seriously because we believe in his ability and competence,” he said, adding that the position could be terminated for violations including insubordination, disobedience, indiscipline, or actions that contradict the AGN constitution.
