A civic mobilisation platform aimed at strengthening nationwide support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been launched under the banner of the PBAT 4+4 Movement.
The initiative was unveiled by its promoter, Dr. Fred Femi Akinfala, who said the movement is designed to mobilise Nigerians across communities and professional groups to back the government’s reform programmes and development agenda ahead of 2027.
Akinfala explained that the platform would function as a volunteer-driven network focused on engaging citizens and encouraging active participation in national development efforts while promoting the achievements of the current administration.
According to him, the movement plans to establish a presence across all 774 local government areas in the country, reaching institutions, civil society groups and professional organisations to build widespread support for the government’s policies.
He noted that the initiative is aligned with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to promote economic reforms, national transformation and sustainable development.
Operating under the motto “Hope Renewed, Nigeria Rising,” the PBAT 4+4 Movement aims to create a broad coalition of citizens committed to supporting policies they believe will strengthen Nigeria’s economic growth and national stability.
The group also highlighted key values that will guide its activities, including patriotism, integrity, unity and service. According to the organisers, these principles will shape how the movement engages with citizens and promotes civic participation.
Akinfala said the platform believes that active involvement by Nigerians will play a critical role in sustaining reform efforts and driving the country toward long-term progress.
He therefore called on citizens across the country to join the initiative and contribute to efforts aimed at promoting hope, defending ongoing reforms and supporting initiatives intended to improve Nigeria’s development trajectory.
