Biodun Stephens, Jide Awobona, Steve Sodiya, Judith Audu Lead Speakers to BON Awards/Odi Olowo Nollywood Training

The Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, in collaboration with Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, is set to host a six-day Nollywood Talent Development Training targeted at empowering young people within the Odi Olowo community.

Scheduled to hold from March 25th to 28th, 2026, the intensive training programme is designed to equip youths with practical knowledge, creative skills, and industry insights required to thrive in Nigeria’s dynamic film and entertainment industry.

The training will feature an impressive lineup of accomplished industry professionals, including Biodun Stephens, Jide Awobona, Steve Sodiya, Judith Audu, Sanjo Adegoke, Tunde Olaoye, and Praide Gina. These facilitators will provide hands-on guidance across key areas such as acting, directing, scriptwriting, production, and other critical aspects of filmmaking.

Speaking on the initiative, organisers noted that the programme is part of BON Awards’ continued commitment to grassroots talent discovery and development, particularly among young people who possess the passion for storytelling but lack access to structured training and mentorship.

“This initiative is about creating opportunities for young people in Odi Olowo to find expression through Nollywood. We are not just training them; we are helping them build a future within the creative industry,” the organisers stated.

Participants will benefit from direct interactions with industry experts, practical sessions, and exposure to real-world filmmaking processes, positioning them for opportunities within Nollywood and beyond.
