Popular American singer, Chris Brown has been arrested for allegedly beating a music producer in a London nightclub in 2023.
Prosecutors recently revealed that the musician has been charged with one count of causing grievous bodily harm after his arrest at a Manchester hotel.
According to the Sun, which reported the story first, the alleged victim, Abe Diaw, shared how he was hospitalised after Chris Breezy’s unprovoked attack at the Tape nightclub in the UK.
According to the beatmaker, Chris Brown was touring the United Kingdom when he committed the crime, and he had to be rushed to the hospital after the singer beat him up mercilessly for no reason at all.
The Sun revealed that they immediately reached out to the police with the news, and the call led to Met officers travelling to Manchester, where the artist was relaxing, to make the arrest.
Chris Brown’s representative is yet to respond to a request for comment from The Associated Press.
The “Kiss Kiss” crooner has been held in custody since Wednesday ahead of a hearing on Friday morning in Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
Brown emerged on the music scene as a teenager in 2005 before growing into being widely respected for his impactful songs over the years. Some of his most memorable tracks include “Run It,” “No Air,” and “Sensational,” plus his vocal prowess continues to set him apart from his peers.
Chris Brown clinched his first Grammy award for “Best R&B Album” for “F.A.M.E” before winning his 2nd award in the same category for “11:11 (Deluxe)” earlier this year.
Breezy is currently working on launching an international tour in June, alongside famous artists like Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller.
