State High Court sitting in Jigawa, presided over by Justice Musa Ubale, on Thursday, sentenced 25-year-old Aminu Ali to life imprisonment for raping and sodomising a 10-year-old boy (name withheld).
Ali, who hails from Aukayawa Quarters in the Gwaram Local Government Area of the state, was found guilty by the court after the prosecution had established “beyond reasonable doubt” that he lured the victim and engaged in anal sex with him.
To prove its case, the prosecution counsel presented five witnesses and submitted four exhibits, including a medical report.
