Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has praised Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal, for his brilliant performances this season.
He recently revealed that he really loves watching the Spaniard play football for club and country.
Speaking during an interview with the press, Palmer revealed that he genuinely believes the youngster is the best player in the world at his age because everything just goes through him at Barcelona.
Palmer said that it is obvious that Lamine is extremely confident on the ball, stressing that the 17-year-old shows no sign of fear with the round leather at his feet.
“It’s mad innit. I think he’s the best player in the world, to be honest.
I feel like everything they do just goes through him, and just when you watch him, just … Mad.
You can tell the way he plays that he’s confident and he’s got no fear, and I love watching him,” he said.
Palmer said that he has no idea how hard it was to play that good at such a young age, because, unlike Yamal, he never took the world by storm at 17.
Palmer and the Blues are trying to qualify for next season’s Champions League via the EPL. The club is presently 5th on the EPL table, above sixth-placed Aston Villa on goal difference with two matches left to play.
Chelsea is also set to face LaLiga side Real Betis in the final of the Conference League on the 28th of May, 2025.
